Your Personalised Log Cabin: Designed for Your Style

All our log cabins are crafted from kiln-dried, untreated whitewood, providing you with a pristine canvas ready for your unique vision. This approach allows for complete customisation, enabling you to decorate your cabin both inside and out in accordance with your personal taste and style. However, to ensure the longevity and durability of your new outdoor space, it is absolutely imperative that you treat all bare timber as soon as your cabin is fitted. This immediate treatment forms a vital protective barrier, shielding the wood from the elements and ensuring your beautiful log cabin stands strong and looks fantastic for many years to come.

For The Best Results

  • For the best results we recommend that you remove all doors and windows, including frames and treat them both inside and out, also treat the logs behind them and the ends of the logs.
  • Three coats of a top-quality paint need to be applied to the exterior, we suggest Sadolin Superdec. Pay extra attention to the corners, joints, knots and log ends.
  • Internally, a good quality wood stain or paint should also be used to seal the timber.
  • Once painted a bead of silicone should be applied to the glass at the bottom section of each window and door.
  • A bead of silicone or caulk should also be applied where the timber bearers meet the logs.

Painting Is Incredibly Important

Please be aware that these are timber structures and are consequently vulnerable to extreme weather conditions.

Painting your log cabin isn't just about aesthetics; it's incredibly important for its longevity and protection. As timber structures, log cabins are naturally vulnerable to the UK's extreme weather conditions, including rain, strong winds, and harsh sunlight. A high-quality paint or stain acts as a vital barrier, safeguarding the wood from moisture ingress, UV damage, and rot. Proper painting and regular maintenance ensure your cabin remains a beautiful and durable asset for years to come.
